Poisonous GAL Cathy Welsh and Manipulative Therapist Jamie Vogt
At least two lawsuits have been filed and at least another two cases are known, making up this class of people who have experienced N. Scott Johnson (‘Johnson’) as opposing counsel and his use of therapists and attorneys in order to lie, deceive the Court, and practice law unethically.
On July 25, 2022, Dustin Brown (Plaintiff Brown) sued Catherine ‘Cathy’ Welsh (Welsh) and her law firm Welsh and McGough Pllc of Tulsa Oklahoma in Tulsa County District Court CJ-22-234. The suit alleges that Welsh as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) was negligent, her firm liable for failing to supervise her; that the Plaintiff Brown was defrauded, his child stolen, and punitive damages should be possible.
Plaintiff Brown argues that Welsh charged hundreds more than her approved hourly rate in order to ‘protect’ Plaintiff Brown’s child. Ironically after the Court order expired several years ago Welsh continued to charge and collect over ($10,000.00) ten thousand dollars wrongfully. Mentioned in the Petition throughout is the use of therapist Jamie Vogt to give opposing counsel, N. Scott Johnson, an advantage.
Maria Chico (Chico or ‘victim/mother’) has been going through a contentious divorce against N. Scott Johnson’s client Christopher Vietti (‘Vietti’ or ‘husband/father’) ever since 2018. At that time she alleged to be the victim of a misdemeanor domestic violence out of Tulsa County, a charge still pending to this day (August 1st, 2022). That misdemeanor was previously dismissed and refiled in 2019. It was set for trial in early 2022 but within thirty days of trial the Tulsa County District Attorney’s (DA) office decided to prosecute the mother, the victim of the domestic violence, for ‘child stealing’ her own children.
In a very confusing twist an emergency guardianship was approved in October 2021 over the Chico even though she does not appear to have notice, was living in an abused Womens shelter in out of state Arkansas at the time and is filed to obstruct a protective order that was already in place out of the same county. Prior to this in February 2021 Chico sued Welsh and Vogt alleging the same type of unethical triangle contained in Plaintiff Dustin Brown’s lawsuit mentioned above.
Therefore currently the Tulsa County DA Office is prosecuting a man for domestic abuse as well as a mother for wrongfully withholding their children. Ethically both statements can not be true: there is either a danger to the children or not. Here the prosecutors office appears to be arguing both sides, mother is in danger but also lying of the danger. The Tulsa County DA Stephen Kunzweiler (Kunzweiler) chooses to argue both sides of this case for some inexplicable reason.
DA Stephen Kunzweiler even called the mother a liar at Preliminary Hearing about a danger to the children although DHS substantiated and he was currently prosecuting the husband/father. Attorneys for Chico intimate that their client was recommended to withhold custody from her husband and that DHS would be substantiating abuse allegations against the father. To date DA Kunzweiler refuses to meet with the children in question, review their DHS interview or prosecute any such allegations.
By January 2022 the Child Stealing criminal case against Chico alleges in the probable cause affidavit that GAL Welsh is who contacted District Attorney (DA) Stephen Kunzweiler to ‘recommend’ filing the child stealing lawsuit. By that time Chico had been suing Welsh for almost a year, a cause still pending. Welsh is alleged to be working with Attorney N. Scott Johnson to steal Plaintiff Brown’s access to his child as well as Plaintiff Chico’s.

As for the Brown case and the others to come more articles are anticipated in the future.
